Clipses exposes an MCP server, so AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT can work with your interview data directly. Ask for quotes on a theme, read transcripts, build highlight reels, and get share links -- all from a chat, with no downloading and pasting.
Your connection URL
https://api.clipses.ai/mcpYou will be asked to sign in to Clipses and approve access the first time you connect. Access is limited to your own projects and can be revoked anytime from Settings.
Choose your client
Claude
- Settings, then Connectors (web or desktop)
- Add custom connector, paste the URL above
- Connect, sign in to Clipses, approve
Team and Enterprise plans: a workspace Owner adds it under Organization Settings first, then members connect from the list.
ChatGPT
- Settings, then Connectors
- Add a custom MCP connector with the URL above
- Sign in to Clipses when prompted
Cursor, VS Code, and IDEs
Add the URL to your editor's MCP configuration. Editors that support OAuth will open the Clipses login; otherwise use an API token.
Any other MCP client
Create an API token in the Clipses app under Settings, then API Tokens, and send it as a bearer token in the Authorization header.
What you can ask
- What projects do I have in Clipses?
- Find quotes about onboarding friction in my usability study.
- Read me the transcript of the second interview.
- Create a playlist called Pricing objections and add the three strongest quotes to it.
- Give me the share link for that reel.
- How much storage and how many searches do I have left?
Searches use your plan's AI search tokens, the same as searching inside the app. The connection cannot delete anything, change your account, or touch billing.
Good to know
- Disconnect anytime from Settings, then API Tokens in the Clipses app -- OAuth connections appear under Connected apps.
- API tokens and connector logins only work with AI assistants over MCP. They are not credentials for a REST API.
